mooshimeterThis is Mooshimeter. A wireless multimeter and data logger that outputs results to your smartphone.

Why would you want it? It lets you test and measure stuff from a distance — very useful for cases where the device under test is not the safest thing to be in touch with. The Mooshimeter comes with a rugged construction so that it too survives the experience.

In cases where you want to record and collect data for an extended period of time, the Mooshimeter also allows you to add a removable microSD card that can save data for up to six months!

It features true 2-channel simultaneous sampling and a 600v 10A rating that allows for detailed diagnosis of AC systems. It allows you to evaluate harmonic distortion and power factor easily.

  • 10m air + safety shield of a Tesla Coil rock-bands testing facility

Power

Simultaneous high-speed sampling of voltage and current gives the following power measurements:

  • True Power
  • Reactive, Complex, Apparent Power

  • Phase Lead or Lag

Impedance

Measure the supply sag under load to estimate:

  • Supply or Battery equivalent resistance
  • Battery State of Health

Current Measurement, External Shunt

  • Measure thousands of amps with sub-milliohm shunts
  • Measure precision currents with large shunts
  • Use the existing wiring for “quick’n’dirty” measurements
    • Use 1′ of 10AWG for 12µA per count resolution, up to several times the wires ampacity.
