Phison Electronics Corp. has launched an advanced Enterprise SSD solution called X1.
Phison collaborated with Seagate to develop the X1 controller and SSD solution.
The X1 controller-based solid-state drive (SSD) platform offers more than 30% faster data read speed than the existing solution for the same power used. The X1 features U.3 PCIe Gen 4×4 dual port and comes in storage sizes of up to 15.36 TB. The SSD packs higher data density and has been launched to bolster the industry’s enterprise-class product offerings for a variety of applications such as AI, Cloud Storage and 5G edge computing.
According to the company, the customizable platform offers higher computing with lesser energy consumption than any other competitor’s product. The controller IP and firmware has been developed in Phison’s R&D facility making it one of the the most stable design at product launch.

The X1 SSD is designed to take on enterprise workloads and is equipped with high durability to move enterprise data for the long haul. It can run Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide insights and produce data that can be leveraged to research adaptive models in a variety of important industries including healthcare, education, science and more.
