Job Description:

1. Develop and manage supply base (domestic and international) to support all PCBA and harnesses assemblies through NPD and Production phases
2. Component compatibility selections/evaluations, sensor exposure, connectivity including and not limited to BLE, WiFi, Cellular, etc.
3. Package manufacturing PCB layout, Gerber file, and release.
4. Work directly with key suppliers to develop and implement sourcing and cost management strategies that support existing platforms and new product development
5. Guide internal customers on design for manufacturability and trade analysis for electronic piece parts on PCBAs, onboarding requirements, and quality
6. Act as the supplier interface for all RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs. Partner with internal resources to drive adoption of low-cost parts and avoidance of obsolescence
7. Conduct comprehensive supplier analysis, including strategic direction, capacity, market and industry position, and risk assessment
8. Work with the Global Supply team for the process support, and be part of the matrix organization.
9. Evaluate quotes for the engineering compliance against specified manufacturing package, and address technical quarries.

Skills:

1. Experience reading technical drawings, data sheets, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and all related PCBA and harness files
2. Knowledge of electronic components, PCBs, connectors, silicon front-end and back-end assembly, and test
3. Knowledge of REACH, RoHS standard and EOL, and PCN documents for electronic components.
4. Knowledge of legal documents with vendor/ EMS like SOW, NDA
5. Knowledge of Cloud-based BOM management Tools – Silicon Expert, IHS Markit, Altium 365, Source Engine, etc.
6. Proven track record of taking ownership, successfully negotiating preferred pricing and driving results
7. Support and Analysis for product Functional -Cost Matrix.

Experience:

1. Experience working in a supply chain, production, or engineering function
2. Technical procurement or planning experience with PCB, PCBA, or electrical components
3. Experience managing external supplier partners

Key Interfaces:

1. Engineering Team
2. Marketing team
3. Project Engineer/leader from BU’s across Pentair.
4. External vendors and suppliers

Qualifications and Experience:

A bachelor/Master’s in Electronics Engineering from a good Engineering college. Having min 5 yrs. of experience in Electronics – Sourcing, supply chain management, EMS/vendors relation for PCBA production and product testing.
