The device features a radiant power of 37mW at 250mA. When considered in terms of mW/$ performance, it delivers 30 % higher power than lower power emitter diodes and 12x better than previous-generation solutions. The device also provides a minimum radiant power of 30 mW at 250 mA.

These diodes are built on AlGaN technology and aim to replace low pressure UVC mercury tubes in compact designs requiring small components. The device features DC forward current up to 300 mA, forward voltage down to 5.2 V, and an emission angle of ± 60°. Additionally, the device is RoHS-compliant, and its halogen-free design makes it compatible for reflow soldering processes. It also features a Moisture Sensitivity Level of 3 in accordance with J-STD-020.

Features
  • Ceramic SMT package with quartz window
  • Dimension (L x W x H) in mm: 3.45 x 3.45 x 1.7
  • DC forward current: up to 300 mA
  • Wavelength range of 265 nm to 280 nm
  • 20 % higher sterilization efficiency
  • Service life of 27 000 hours at 250 mA and 25 °C.

Applications include sterilization devices for domestic as well as commercial and medical equipment; for example, toothbrushes, water bottles, refrigerators, air purifiers, door handles, medical instruments, coffee machines, ATMs, toilet seats, vacuum cleaners, and more.
