Overview
We are looking for high caliber individuals with experience and strong understanding of Reliability Availability Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) engineering within the aerospace or similar industry to support various aerospace systems. The candidate will be responsible for the RAMS analyses on Fire protection system, Hoist & Winch, Brake control System etc. The ideal candidate would have a track record of delivery of high performance analysis, be effective working in a multidisciplinary team, and would be confident presenting and justifying their solutions and recommendations to peers, seniors, and external partners. This role will sit in our Reliability and Systems Safety Engineering department and be allocated to projects across the business. Additionally, the department supports our Future projects team, working alongside our Business Development function engineers moving rapidly through a concept, analysis, design and test cycle.
Position: Associate Engineer (P1)
Primary Responsibilities
Reporting to the Reliability and Systems Safety Engineering team leader your role will include:
- Providing RAMS analysis solutions in support of programs and technologies
- Working closely with in-house as well as US counter parts engineering teams (Electronics design, performance ) to deliver detailed RAMS analysis
- Should have competency to perform Reliability & Safety analysis, Which includes ( FMEA, SSA, CMA , SEE, & Reliability Prediction)
- Strong electronics circuit understanding
- Should able to perform Stress, Derating and circuit analysis.
- Responsible to establish and maintain System Assurance / RAMS documents to meet the customer requirements
- Identify and manage the risks on the project using analytical skills and produce system assurance reports and documentation to ensure the projects risks are managed
- Key contributor to project requirements, providing substantial knowledge from a safety and regulatory perspective
- Participate in Project Design reviews and required Gate reviews
- Attendance at failure Review Board (FRB) / FRACAS meetings and participate in the review of root cause analysis findings
- Responsible for analyzing the RAMS (Reliability Availability Maintainability and Safety) for the projects / bids and advice the System Assurance Manager/RAMS Manager
- Cooperation with other engineers in ensuring the minimization of project risks
- Assist in identifying solutions to the technical novel and complex problems and deriving RAMS requirements for the designs
- Prepare, present and report technical work to peers, seniors, external suppliers and customers
Basic Qualifications
- Applicants will have a MEng / MSc or BE in an Electronics and Communication Engg or similar engineering discipline and with minimum 2 yrs. of industrial experience in reliability Knowledge and Experience
- In depth knowledge of RAMS engineering process, methods and tools
- Ability to work effectively with technology teams to achieve creative solutions
- Good to have hands on Experience in LT spice/ Pspice/ Cadence software will be an added advantage Desirable (some subset of):
- Developed knowledge and experience of RAMS software tools
- Experience with using RBD, Reliability Growth Models
- Knowledge of Requirements systems desirable (DOORS®)
- Experience working with sub-contractors, partners and customers
