Reference design for a 35W flyback converter that can take a wide range of AC input from 90-305 Vrms and provide a constant output of 48V.
The STEVAL-ILL069V2 is a power supply reference design based on flyback topology. The reference design can take input directly from AC mains and provide a stable DC output of 48V. The reference design can work from 90VAC -305VAC running at a frequency of 45 Hz – 66 Hz. The reference design can provide a maximum power of 35W with an efficiency of up to 90%. An auxiliary 16 V output is also present to supply small circuits which absorb a maximum current of 20 mA. The reference design has a compact size measuring just 130 mm x 50 mm and is ROHS compliant. The reference design features multiple safety features including output short circuit and overload protections and also comes with an auto-restart for safe operation in lighting environments. Due to its stable output voltage, the reference design is suitable as a LED power supply for displays and signboards, outdoor lighting, etc.
