Wi-Fi 6 routers for medium and large houses with fast data speeds and integrated parental controls.
Tenda has launched two new high-performance AX-Series Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 routers, namely Tenda RX2 Pro and Tenda TX2 Pro, which the company claims to provide Wi-Fi coverage for medium and large houses with a single wireless router. According to the press release issued by the company, the routers are equipped with the latest dual-band wireless technology, AX1500 (802.11 AX), to deliver lightning-fast data speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps or 1500 Mbps. Regarding the 5GHz transmission mode, these routers offer up to 38% faster speeds than traditional Wi-Fi 5 routers. The company claims that the data throughput of the routers is up to 1201 Mbps which is suitable for AX-compatible devices. The 2.4GHz transmission band provides speeds of up to 300 Mbps for broader coverage. The routers have built-in parental controls that allow parents to monitor and control their children’s online behaviour by blocking or allowing websites or setting bandwidth speeds and quotas.
According to the company’s claim, the router has an intelligent auto-switching dual-band feature, allowing it to configure a single common Service Set Identifier (SSID) for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. This simplifies device connection, as they can automatically detect and communicate with the router. The company claims that routers incorporate advanced technologies like Multi-User Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MU-MIMO) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA). These next-generation features serve multiple endpoints simultaneously, reducing latency and ensuring stable connectivity. In addition to wireless connectivity, the routers offer physical Gigabit Ethernet ports, enabling non-wireless devices to connect. This provides a smoother work experience and the ability to achieve ultra-fast network speeds through a wired connection.
The press release highlights some of the additional features of the routers that enhance the networking experience. These include high-class security with Wi-Fi Protected Access 3 (WPA3), guest mode Wi-Fi, network detection, smart power saving, Media Access Control (MAC) clone, and Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPV6) protocol. The company claims that the routers can function as a Universal Repeater or an Access Point, providing flexibility for various network setups.
