Role Summary
This position is responsible for Designing and Drafting basic Instrumentation documents like P&IDs, Wiring diagrams, Datasheets, and other project-related Instrumentation and Electrical documents for various Flowserve Projects against specific customer orders. The individual is required to coordinate with Design engineers to ensure overall quality and on‐time delivery of customer submittals.
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Performs work that is varied and complex, under direct supervision. Consistently applies knowledge of functional concepts and prior experience to work assignments.
- Gather all relevant information for each assignment, review all the inputs, understand scope of work, and complete the assigned task by meeting or exceeding customer expectation.
- Timely update status to all the stake holders.
- Follow established engineering standards and procedures for product design to produce consistent and reliable results.
- Check each design for compliance to job specifications; design form, fit, and function; safety in assembly, maintenance, and operation; method and ease of manufacture; method and ease of assembly. Perform self-checking.
- Deliver clear and complete drawings/analysis reports/ documentation/part list, as per the deliverables of the assignment, ensuring On-time delivery and quality.
- Understand the basic functions of documentation control, document preservation and computer filing
- Maintain and develop technical and other interpersonal skills, always in full compliance with company policies, using the resources productively and innovatively.
- Graduate with min 1‐2 years of experience or Diploma with min 2‐4 years of experience in Instrumentation Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering with knowledge of Instrumentation/Electrical engineering preferably from pump / rotary equipment Industry
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Excellent ability to read and understand engineering drawings/documents.
- To understand and revise various instrumentation documents like P&IDs, Wirings, and other basic documents using Autodesk products, and Microsoft tools.
- Knowledge of creating the project documents like instrument lists, I/O lists, etc. using Microsoft tools.
- Experience in INtools software and ISA standards for the Creation of Instrument Datasheets for various instruments like Pressure, Temperature, Level, and vibration will be preferable.
- To Understand and be able to read the project documents and support the Engineers in the team to update electrical and instrumentation documents related to various projects.
- Knowledgeable in solid works and creation of Bill of materials (BOM) related to Instrumentation and controls would be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & Intools.
- Good knowledge of field instruments, Utility, and electricals with Installation knowledge.
