About The Job
MinionLabs is looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer professional to join their team and help them improve their Energy Monitoring product and create new applications. As an Embedded Engineer, you’ll work closely with the IoT Team to build new features and improve on existing features and processes.
Your Background
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Communication or related studies
- Between 1-3 years of working experience.
- Preferred experience: Extensive Knowledge of Basic Electronics/Electrical systems including Smart Meters, Energy Metrology and parameters. Should understand IoT solutions and the ability to prototype.
- Proficiency in circuit design, schematic entry, and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle, KiCad).
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with AC-to-DC converters, DC-to-DC converters, analog electronics, and digital electronics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python for embedded systems development.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and interfacing techniques.
- An excellent communicator with good personal skills
- Demonstrated client management and relationship skills
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded systems solutions, including schematic entry, circuit design, and PCB layout.
- Troubleshooting: Hardware / PCB Troubleshooting skills (with Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer) is a must experience.
- Prototyping, Testing, debugging and iterating the firmware and the hardware.
- Write firmware in Embedded C and Python Languages.
- Hands-on Experience with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP2 and such development boards.
- Intermediate knowledge of Embedded Linux and RTOS is an advantage.
- Understanding of various h/w architectures (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN etc.) should have worked with ADCs, Energy Meters, Smart Meters etc.
- Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE) for circuit analysis.
- Develop and test documentation for the projects.
- Conduct extensive research on further ideation and development of the product.
- Customer experience: Installation, Reproduction and Debugging of customer issues, handling of field queries.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components.
