Weald Electronics introduced their latest innovation: the Land Mobile Radio(LMR) Range of rugged rack and panel connectors. This new series serves as a direct replacement for the now obsolete ITW McMurdo Connectors Red Range, which has been widely utilized in blind mating applications. With the LMR Range, users of ITW connectors can seamlessly continue manufacturing existing products and supporting systems globally.
Designed for line-to-line or panel connections, these connectors boast a polarised, self-aligning, and low insertion force blind-mate plug and socket arrangement, making them ideal for use in inaccessible applications. Additionally, their current rating of 5A per contact meets the increasing demands for high-power and high-reliability electrical systems. The connectors will be moulded in DAP (Diallyl Phthalate resin), a higher-temperature material. They are fully backwards-compatible with the ITW McMurdo Connectors Red Range, which is available in both Nylon and DAP. DAP offers physical properties including electrical insulation, heat resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance, and ease of moulding, making it a popular choice in the former ITW McMurdo Connectors Red Range. - Rugged construction with 180° polarization.
- Floating bushes to assist alignment.
- Available in four sizes with 8, 16, 24, and 32 contacts.
- 5A current rating and working voltage of 800V DC or AC peak.
- Diallyl-Phthalate (DAP) insulators.
- Direct alternative to ITW McMurdo Connectors RED RANGE.
