Synaptics is hiring RF design validation engineers (on 3rd party pay roll). Experience level 0-1 years.
Education: MS/MTech with specialization in the field of RF Microelectronics or Communication or RF Microwave circuit design engineering.
In this position, the individual will closely work with System engineering & RFIC circuit designing teams to understand Tx/Rx RF chain details, various RF/PHY calibrations, prepare RF DVT test plan, RF bench testing, debugging, and characterizing RF Wireless system performance. Also, the individual will work on automating tests and define test procedures for repeated tests.
Education
MS/MTech with specialization in the field of RF Microelectronics or Communication or RF Microwave circuit design engineering
Key Qualifications
- Strong Electronics and communication background
- Familiarity with RF systems fundamentals (PLL, PA, LNA, RF Transceiver architecture).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Programming skills (C/C++/Python or equivalent) is added advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communications including the ability to document test plans, test results.
Responsibilities
- RF performance optimization and characterization of Tx/ Rx chains such as Phase noise, Spurs, Tx power, IP3, EVM, SEM, Load pull, Noise Figure, Rx IIP3, RSSI, etc.
- Collaborate with team members, create test setups, and execute tests over process, voltage and temperature across corner parts.
- Generate RF performance summary report based on characterization results against chip specification.
- Analyze test result and feedback to RF design & system engineering team in timely manner to drive design improvement.
- Debug issues related to test hardware and software.
- Work cross-functionally from the initial phase of the product development to final production.
- Write scripts to automate test cases and plot/parse/analyze test data.
