The latest AC/DC converters offer 16W power and configurations for industrial, medical, and IoT applications, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
RECOM has added new 16W components to its AC/DC converters, which are available in standard pinned and wired configurations. The RACM16E-K/277 series, measuring 2 x 1.08 x 0.9 inches, is designed for integration into various systems.
The converters are used across various sectors, including electric vehicle chargers for housekeeping power, industrial automation systems, lighting, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, medical devices, and measurement and testing equipment. The converters are especially valuable in applications where stability, efficiency, and adherence to strict safety and environmental standards are crucial. With certifications for medical use and designed for robustness in diverse operating conditions, these converters meet the needs of industries requiring precise and dependable power solutions.
These units maintain efficiency under light loads, supporting an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, with derating starting at 60°C depending on the output.
These converters support an input range of 85VAC to 305VAC, covering 100-277VAC or 120-430VDC for global use. They offer output options of 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, or 30V. The 3.3V model provides a 12W output. These units handle non-linear loads with a constant current limit and feature short circuit ‘hiccup’ mode, overvoltage, and overload protection. The company claims the series meets standards, including IEC 62368, IEC 61558, EN 60335, and UL/IEC/EN 60601.
Michael Schrutka, MSc., product manager AC/DC of RECOM, comments – “These compact AC/DCs have universal application with their wide temperature and input range, selection of outputs and comprehensive certifications.”
The series comes with a three-year warranty, and samples and OEM pricing are available through authorized distributors or directly from the company.
