The smart labels with e-paper displays are designed to monitor pharmaceutical and healthcare shipments efficiently.
Ynvisible Interactive Inc., in collaboration with Hive-Zox, a Swiss company, has launched e-paper displays integrated into a newly developed smart label called ConnectedLabel, designed for monitoring pharmaceutical and healthcare shipments.
Hive-Zox is enhancing supply chain monitoring with its connected Monitoring as a Service (cMaaS), providing real-time visibility from end to end at the product level. To integrate seamlessly into its tracking solutions, Hive-Zox required a compact, thin, and flexible display for its new smart label. Ynvisible’s e-paper displays met these requirements due to their profile, low power usage, and reflective qualities, providing dynamic, real-time feedback without increasing costs.
The application of Ynvisible’s e-paper displays in real-time supply chain monitoring showcases a promising use of their technology in smart labels. These displays offer a way to visually communicate essential information in real-time. They are energy-efficient and more sustainable than other digital options. Beyond emitting visual alerts during transport and logistics, the smart labels can display real-time product information and usage conditions across various industries, including retail, supply chain and logistics, and medical and pharma, indicating a substantial market potential for the displays.
“When designing our ConnectedLabel, low power consumption, thinness, and cost were all crucial factors for achieving a truly long-lasting smart label. Ynvisible’s leading role in innovative e-paper displays made it our ideal partner. We have established a strong partnership and look forward to building on it in the future”, said Charles Bourbonnais, CEO and Founder of Hive-Zox.
“In the demanding fields of pharmaceutical and healthcare delivery, maintaining optimal environmental conditions is vital for product safety. This smart label innovation takes cold chain logistics into a more sophisticated, data-driven era of real-time monitoring and control,” said Diogo Cunha, Business Development Associate of Ynvisible.
