Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Firmware Design Engineer/Leader with expertise in model-based design, digital control, DSP and FPGA implementation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware development, along with experience in power electronics and control systems from 3 to 10 Years.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Implement embedded control algorithms using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and DSP platforms to develop firmware for power electronic systems, including motor drives, inverters, converters for various applications including EV.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with systems, ensuring seamless interaction between hardware and software.
- Conduct testing and validation of firmware in laboratory environments, analyzing results and making necessary adjustments based on simulation and testing outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the firmware development process, including safety and reliability considerations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to cross-functional teams during product development and testing phases.
- 3 to 10 years of experience in firmware development for power electronics applications.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of power electronic systems and control theory.
- Experience with microcontroller/microprocessor-based systems and real-time operating systems.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, and UART.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Education- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
- A master’s degree from prestigious institutes in power electronics, Control Engineering, Drives or related field is considered an advantage.
