RECOM has launched its new REM2A and REM4A series of DC/DC converters, designed to offer a costeffective solution with the highest level of medical isolation. These converters, rated at 2W and 4W respectively, are available in both throughhole and surface mount (SMD) formats. They provide ‘reinforced’ 5kVAC/1minute isolation and feature a 2MOPP rating at 250VAC, along with over 8mm of creepage and clearance. With ultralow 2µA leakage current, the converters are ideal for B, BF, and CF patient connected applications.

- Output Voltages: 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 24V, +/5V, +/12V, +/15V DC; 3.3V

This component features an isolation rating of reinforced 5kVAC for 1 minute and provides 2MOPP protection at 250VAC, making it highly reliable for medical-grade applications. It offers ultralow leakage current of just 2µA, ensuring safety in sensitive medical environments. The protection features include input undervoltage, output overcurrent, overvoltage, and short-circuit protection to enhance operational safety and stability. It is certified under IEC/EN/ANSI/AAMI 60601 for medical safety, IEC/EN/UL623681 for IT and multimedia applications, and MIL-HDBK-217F for a five million-hour MTBF at 25°C (ground benign). It can operate at altitudes up to 5000m in pollution degree 2 environments.
