As a Qualcomm Hardware Systems Engineer, you will design a complete framework or system that influences the shaping of state-of-the-art mobile, edge, auto, AR/VR, compute, IOT, wearable products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, software, testing teams, etc.) to identify hardware testing needs and integrate components into products or systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience. OR
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience. OR
- PhD in Engineering or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field.Â
- 2+ years of experience with hardware system design, system integration, schematic capture, and circuit simulation software.Â
- 2+ years of experience with hardware system validation and measurement instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools).Â
- 1+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.Â
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Leverages Hardware Systems knowledge to design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment, other hardware systems, and/or electrical engineering applications.
- Contributes to defining processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output, and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
- Conducts specialized analyses (e.g., feasibility studies, signal integrity, power integrity, equipment) to establish operating data and specifications.
- Develops system features and components to identify potential flaws or compliance issues and finds solutions.
- Contributes to subsystem discussion of chipset design and develops and modifies schematics, design layouts, testing.
- Collaborates with manufacturing POCs to fabricate hardware, conducts verification of subsystem or design, and ensures platform is compatible and supported by appropriate systems requirements.
