The 24V Automotive Gateway-V1.0 is versatile, supporting a wide array of applications. It integrates the AURIX TC397XE B Step with Realtek’s RTL9047AA Switch to cater to future In-Vehicle Networks. The TC397XE B Step links to the Ethernet Switch via a 1Gbps RGMII port for data transfers and utilizes an SPI channel for switch management. The RTL9047AA features five 100Base-T1 ports, complemented by Rosenberger H-MTD connectors, enhancing connectivity to In-Vehicle Networks. This board includes 16 CAN-FD connections, 4 LIN, and 4 FlexRay channels, distributed evenly across two CPUs, facilitating the integration of various network topologies. Additionally, CPU A supports a PSI5-S connection with four channels, while CPU B offers a Raspberry Pi-like extension header for additional boards such as pHAT. Both CPUs connect through two high-speed HSSL channels and one SPI channel.

The AURIX TC3xx series prioritizes security, incorporating the second-generation programmable Hardware Security Module (HSM) across its variants to secure communications and deter hardware tampering, including tuning. Moreover, Infineon’s Trusted Platform Module (TPM) SLB9670, compliant with the TCG TPM 2.0 standard, further secures the system via an SPI connection.

Infineon has tested this reference design. It comes with a bill of materials (BOM), schematics, assembly drawing, printed circuit board (PCB) layout, and more. The company’s website has additional data about the reference design. To read more about this reference design, click here.
