Click Shield Expands NXP Development Board Capabilities

MIKROE has introduced the Click Shield for NXP’s FRDM-MCXN947 development board, significantly enhancing its ability to prototype complex electronic systems.

MIKROE’s latest shield integrates three mikroBUS sockets, enabling developers to utilize a wide range of Click boards. With over 1700 Click boards available across categories like Audio & Voice, Sensors, Motor Control, and Wireless Connectivity, designers can rapidly prototype and develop advanced applications. This innovative shield offers versatility, allowing the expansion of the NXP FRDM-MCXN947’s capabilities through seamless integration of multiple components.

The Development board is powered by the MCX N947 microcontroller, which features the Arm Cortex-M33 TrustZone core, CoolFlux BSP32, and a PowerQuad DSP Co-processor running at 150MHz. The board is designed for consumer IoT, industrial control, smart appliances, and automotive systems. It supports Hi-Speed USB, CAN 2.0, and Ethernet connectivity, with advanced features like an onboard MCU-Link debugger and dual-bank flash. These specifications make the board highly suitable for applications requiring significant processing power and high-speed data transfer.
