Innodisk introduces high-capacity, high-speed DRAM modules for advancement of edge AI and generative AI technology.
Innodisk, Taiwan has launched its ‘DDR5 6400 DRAM’ (dynamic random-access memory) series, featuring an impressive 64GB capacity per module, designed specifically for the high demands of edge computing, artificial intelligence, and telehealth applications. This powerful new series delivers a data transfer rate of 6400MT/s, a 14% speed improvement over previous generations. With its increased memory capacity and speed, the series meets the essential requirements for advanced AI-driven technologies, including generative AI, large language models (LLMs), autonomous vehicles, and mixed reality, all of which demand real-time data processing and stability.
The series supports versatile form factors like CUDIMM (clocked unbuffered dual in-line memory module (DIMM)), CSODIMM (clocked small outline DIMM), and RDIMM (registered DIMM), allowing industries to integrate the DRAM into diverse environments. Built to operate in challenging conditions, the new series is equipped with several technologies to ensure uninterrupted, stable performance, enhancing functionality and longevity across various sectors. Among these features, client clock driver (CKD) buffers clock signals to minimise noise during high-frequency data transfers, while transient voltage suppressor (TVS) safeguards components from voltage fluctuations. An eFuse circuit protection specifically for RDIMM modules prevents damage from overvoltage in higher-capacity server systems.
Engineered for extreme industrial conditions, this series operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 95°C, making it suitable for rugged environments. Additionally, anti-sulfuration protection with 30μ” gold plating ensures durability by preventing sulfurisation, which is essential in long-term industrial settings.
With full compatibility across the latest Intel and AMD processors, this series supports various configurations from 8GB to 64GB, offering users flexibility to tailor solutions to their specific needs. Ideal for modern AI applications, this memory solution is already impacting industries such as manufacturing and remote healthcare. For instance, the series enables smart factories to utilise LLMs for instant data consolidation and analysis, supporting immediate decision-making. In telehealth, the modules allow high-resolution 3D imaging and real-time data handling for remote surgeries, enhancing patient care and precision.
By launching this series, the company has underscored its commitment in providing advanced memory solutions that propel AI, industrial automation, and telehealth. For further details you may click here.
