Panasonic Industry Europe is expanding its OS-CON aluminium polymer solid capacitor range by introducing three new series: the SXV, SXE, and SVPG. These capacitors are designed for both surface-mount and radial lead applications and offer performance improvements to meet the needs of industrial applications. Key users include manufacturers of power supplies, solar inverters, and measurement equipment, as well as server and data centre system developers, where high ripple current and low ESR are critical for stability.

The OS-CON SXV (surface-mount) and SXE (radial-lead) series capacitors are designed for durability and efficiency, featuring low equivalent series resistance (ESR) even in low-temperature environments. Both series offer a high-temperature endurance of 1,000 hours at 125°C and operate within a voltage range of 63V to 100V. With improved aluminium foil technology, these capacitors provide up to a 20% higher capacitance than competitors in the conductive polymer aluminium solid capacitor category. This improvement supports functionality and miniaturization, making them suitable for high-density mounting in power supplies, solar inverters, measurement equipment, servers, and base stations.

The OS-CON SVPG series extends the lineup with a range of capacitors rated for 20V and 25V, designed for extended life with a 5,000-hour endurance at 105°C. The increased voltage range makes them suitable for smoothing 12-15V power lines requiring high ripple current. The SVPG series is formulated to provide low ESR and high ripple current handling, achieving a 1.37 times higher ripple current capacity than competing products. This makes it a good choice for power supply circuits requiring reliability in high-ripple environments. The series suits applications, including industrial power supplies, AI accelerators, industrial automation, and data centres.

The company claims all capacitors are halogen-free and RoHS-compliant, ensuring they meet safety and environmental standards.
