Nisshinbo has introduced high-isolation SPDT switches designed for Wi-Fi 7 infrastructure and advanced wireless communication systems.
Nisshinbo Micro Devices, Japan has launched the NT1821 and NT1822, two advanced single pole double throw (SPDT) switches developed to cater to the rigorous demands of Wi-Fi 7 networks and other wireless communication applications. These switches are designed to optimise space while delivering high performance in modern mobile devices.
The NT1821 is particularly tailored for wireless communication systems, especially in Wi-Fi 7 technology. Operating across a broad frequency range of 1.0GHz to 7.125GHz, it supports essential functions such as transmit/receive switching and antenna switching, making it ideal for complex wireless networks. The switch offers high isolation, ensuring clear signal integrity even at high frequencies. This makes it particularly beneficial for wireless network engineers, device manufacturers, and designers working on the next generation of mobile and Wi-Fi-enabled devices.
Featuring a voltage range between 1.6V and 5.0V, with a low control voltage of just 1.2V, the NT1821 demonstrates remarkable performance metrics. The device boasts low insertion loss and high linearity, with a P-1dB of +31dBm, making it highly efficient for Wi-Fi modules, smartphones, access points, and mobile devices. These features make it a key component for engineers involved in the design of high-performance communication hardware.
Its compact design is complemented by integrated DC blocking capacitors on all RF ports, minimising PCB space requirements and simplifying system design. Its isolation at high frequencies, up to 7.125GHz, reaches a typical 42dB, further enhancing performance. With an operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C and a low current consumption of just 20μA, it is well-suited for a variety of environments, from consumer electronics to enterprise-level wireless networks.
Both the NT1821 and NT1822 come in the same compact 1.0mm × 1.0mm DFN1010-6-GV package, ideal for space-constrained designs. These components also meet restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) compliance and environmental standards, ensuring they are halogen-free and moisture-resistant.
The NT1821 and NT1822 are available now, offering a cutting-edge solution for next-generation wireless communication systems.
