A transducer is a device which transforms a nonelectrical physical quantity (i.e. temperature, sound or light) into an electrical signal (i.e. voltage, current, capacity, etc.) or in other words converts variations in a physical quantity into an electrical signal, or vice versa.
Upon completion of the presentation you will be able to understand:
- What is a transducer
- Block diagram
- Transducers selection factors
- Classification of transducers
- Advantages and disadvantages
