Primary Purpose
Molex is seeking a world class, self-directed software Engineer to build /customize desktop software solutions to support development, testing at manufacturing for high speed electrical interconnects.
- Support, modify and maintain ownership of software modules used for product testing and qualification across the product development and manufacturing.
- Customise,maintain and support software for RF/microwave electrical test systems used in the manufacturing of multi-gigabit cable assemblies based on standards such as Ethernet, Infiniband, Fiber Channel, PCIe, SAS, SATA, etc.
- Collaborate with our global manufacturing centers to ensure released software is well supported and issues are addressed quickly.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support, modify and maintain ownership of software modules used for product testing and qualification across the product development and manufacturing.
- Customise moderately complex software inPython,TCL/TK,CSharpandCto extend and refine the capabilities of existing desktop based test systems across multiple manufacturing regions.
- Maintain and support the existing software for different product line.
- Involve in root cause analysis and bug fix.
- Create and execute test plans, conduct software reviews, perform system verification and validation, analyze and resolve failure modes and document results.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical and Signal Integrity (SI) engineers to build desktop software solution to test and verify high speed electrical performance of 56 Gbps interconnect solutions.
- Create product and test system documentation, specifications and work instructions.
- Collaborate with our global manufacturing centers to ensure released software is well supported and issues are addressed quickly.
Scope
Works with team and coordinates team efforts globally to complete projects with minimal supervision.
Required
B.E./B.Tech Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Sc Engineering

Work Experience
Required
3-5 years of progressive software engineering experience with Python, TCL, CSharp or C.
Skills and Ability
- Proven working experience in software engineering
- Extensive experience with source control tools such as SVN or Git.
- Understanding of bug tracking software i.eJIRA
- Ability to develop/maintain software in Python, TCL, or other selected languages.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard techniques for software verification and validation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely with global teams.
- Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observe results and make corrections
- High proficiency using analytical tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and others as required.
Preferred
- Experience on customization requirements and bug fix.
- Experience on support and maintenance for existing software code base.
