CENTENNIAL, Colo.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW) today announced that its Supply Assurance business, which supports customers’ long-term requirements for discontinued electronic components, has procured the recently discontinued products formerly provided by Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) through its acquisition of Hittite Microwave Corporation.
“We are pleased to work with Arrow’s Supply Assurance business to extend the availability of these devices and to provide our joint customers with the most transparent and effective support possible beyond the lifetime buy date,” said Greg Henderson, the vice president of RF & microwave at ADI.
Arrow’s Supply Assurance business procured a broad spectrum of high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave products on select legacy Hittite product lines that were formally discontinued in 2015. Arrow acquired all of the products in finished-goods form to preserve the factory-direct functional and qualitative characteristics of each device.
“Arrow and ADI are working together to maximize the long-term availability of discontinued devices to support customers whose redesign or long-term inventory options are limited,” said Tyler Moore, director of Arrow’s Supply Assurance business. “Arrow has worked hard over the past two decades to refine its supply assurance tools and make long-term customer investments like this one possible.”
