Corona Virus or COVID-19 has shaken the entire world. As per www.worldometers.info more than 121 countries have been affected by the virus. The death toll keeps on rising in many countries whereas in some they are going down gradually. And also the death toll is now also starting to include the healthcare workers and the doctors. They are mainly getting contaminated due to close contact with positive patients.
Over here comes the need for proper isolation and proper maintenance of Social Distancing. Not only in India but also in several of the countries strict lockdowns are being practiced. This is leading to the great downfall of the cases. Thus the maintenance of the proper isolation techniques and quarantine periods are of utmost importance.
This project is a boon to all these problems. My project consists of a health band with an app named CoronaSecure. We will be able to use my device from staying inside our homes and it will be able to track very essential data such as Body Temperature, Heartbeat, SpO2 Level in Blood. These data will be then sent to our cloud servers along with this the patient will have to fill up a survey form consisting of some common symptoms of the Corona Virus as being advised from WHO. This will be continued for a Normal Quarantine Period of 14 days as being advised by WHO.
Working
The system of working of this device can be understood through the following points:
- Taking data from MAX30100/MAX30105 SENSOR and NTC THERMISTOR.
- Sending this data from Arduino Nano to the mobile app using ESP8266 – 01 WiFi Module.
- Completion and filling up of the survey.
- Sending all the data to the cloud server.
- Compilation of these data and regular surveillance for 14 days.
- If any chances of COVID is being found then data directly being sent to a local registered hospital along with GPS LOCATION data from the mobile.
Parts List
The following are the materials used in the project:
- Arduino Nano
- ESP8266-01 WiFi Module
- MAX30100 Sensor
- NTC Thermistor (10k)
- Resistance of 10k
- Jumper wires
Programming and Coding
Please download the code from GitHub Repository.
Now after the code has been put into the Arduino Nano the circuit will be connected like this:
Now we need to make a cloud server and platform where the database will be created and Data will be collected.
You can access our survey questions that will be updated everyday.
Final Working
Finally, after connecting it to our app made using MIT APP INVENTOR in our mobile we will get to see that we will have to fill up a survey form and then it will be sent to the nearby registered hospital.
Proof of Concept for COVID19 Health Band
Note: Over here I have used NodeMCU instead of Arduino Nano. Rest all are the same. And here I have used Blynk IoT development app to read the data.
I hope that I have provided all the information in the best of my knowledge. If you have any doubts/queries feel free to post it in the comment section. I will reply to it soon.
How much did it cost to make this model? (Coronasecure).
Hi Sinchana!
First of all thanks for viewing my project.
Well approximately it costs around Rs.800.(NodeMCU – Rs.350 , Pulse Sensor – Rs. 400 , Thermistor – Rs.10 and the other cables and wires – Rs.20 to 30). But if we do it in large scale it will be very cheap then.
I hope that you have got your answer Sinchana.
Sir, i have cororna secure app link
I want corona secure app link
plz send me the corona secure app link .. [email protected]
can u plzz send me the link app please
Hello Arjit Das!
Your project is wonderful, I would like to do one in my home.
Could you please tell me whether your Git Hub code is right or not?
I mean you said that you are still working on it, Could you please share the entire code?
Hi Likith Gundra!
Thanks for viewing my project.
I am very happy that you liked my project and wanna replicate it.
Yeah all the code on GitHub is correct and they are Open-Source so you can easily use them but please do mention the author in the credits.
Even if u face some problem with the code then do create an issue in the GitHub repository or for further help you can email me at – [email protected]
I hope you got your answer Likith.
Thanks
Hello Arjit, This is a nice project. Myself and my team members are working on a Health care monitoring project related to this , where we are using Aruino uno and Max30100 (spo2) sensor and we thought of using GSM as wifi database and to send alert message or phone call to our phone. Now when i came to know about this ESP8266 , I would like to employ this as IOT in my project .I Dont know much about that ESP8266 Could you please tell me about that and explain the working, and how it can be employed.i given my mail id,you just send me through my mail.
this is is nice project. but could you please share the ESP8266 iot chip indetail and how we can employ it.Hope you send me through mail.
This Project is Mini project or Major Project ?
You can use it as a major project.

Hello ArjitDas!
You have provided code for interfacing NodeMCU with NTC Thermistor, But how do I interface NodeMCU and NTC Thermistor with Blynk?
Could please you also provide the code for this?
Please provide us with the circuit diagram
please send corona secure app link
and also circuit diagram
This project successfully work
did the output came for you when you have done that
provide us the circuit diagrsm completely and the real time circuit how have you connected..send these details breifly
sir,
we want circuit diagram of in project
i need app link .. can plzz send me the app link
sir, pls send us app link sir
may I know what simulator did you used in your schematic diagram?
