Question by Andre Sommer: I have a Midwest Jim Wilder tugboat that I am building. What I need is all of the RC components to run it. A 12-volt motor came with the kit.

Can anyone recommend an all in one RC kit or do I need to buy individual components?

There are plenty of RC kit like FlySky, Radiolink etc that can jumpstart your project. However you may also search for RC kits compatible with the radio receiver inside the tugboat model you are having.

It depends on your preferences and experience. If you are a beginner, a ready-to-run (RTR) RC kit is a good option as it comes pre-assembled with all the necessary components. If you have more experience and want to customize your setup, you can purchase individual components and build your RC setup from scratch.
