Low Power Humidity Sensors Embedded with Platinum Crystals Developed at IIT Kharagpur

A mixture of molybdenum disulphide nanoflakes and platinum nanocrystals helped in building the low power humidity sensor by the scientists in IIT Kharagpur in collaboration with GLA University. High level of water vapour in the atmosphere can cause damage to electronic devices. It also affects the human body as we cool off our body temperature through sweating, high humidity results in evaporating sweat disrupting the body temperature control, so identifying high levels of humidity is a must for comfortable living.
