- TDK Corporation’s latest release of capacitors have been designed from low to high voltage ranges
- They also provide improved safety features and serve long hours at high temperatures
TDK Corporation has launched two new series of EPCOS power capacitors: the B32375 and the B32376 for AC filtering in three-phase delta connection applications such as input and output filters of high-performance converters, renewable energy systems and traction applications.
The B32375 series is designed for the low to medium power range and covers a capacitance spectrum from 3 x 5 µF to 3 x 50 µF with rated voltages from 250 VRMS to 600 VRMS. These capacitors have fast on terminals for easy installation. The B32376 series is designed for high power with a capacitance range from 3 x 10 µF to 3 x 400 µF and rated voltages from 250 VRMS to 1000 VRMS.
A key feature of the new capacitors compared with their predecessors is that they provide improved safety, which eliminates the need for soldering. This results in the long service life of up to 100,000 hours at a continuous hot-spot operating temperature of 85Â degrees Celsius and 200,000 hours at 70Â degrees Celsius.
B32375 has can diameters of 50Â mm or 63.5Â mm and the heights vary between 128Â mm and 275Â mm depending on capacity and voltage.
B32376 can diameters are 116Â mm or 136Â mm and the heights are between 200Â mm and 275Â mm. These capacitors have screw terminal M10 for safety installation. The capacitors in this series are also available in versions with a vibration resistance of 20Â g.
