EEGLAB
Here we go through some design and development software available for engineers. First on the list is EEGLAB. EEGLAB is an interactive MATLAB toolbox for processing continuous and event-related EEG, MEG and other electro-physiological data incorporating independent component analysis, time/frequency analysis, artifact rejection, event-related statistics and several useful modes of visualization of the averaged and single-trial data.
Raspbian
Raspbian is a free operating system based on Debian optimized for Raspberry Pi hardware. It has basic programs and utilities, and comes with over 35,000 packages and pre-compiled software bundled in a format for easy installation on the Pi.
Arduino IDE 1.7.5
Arduino project provides an integrated development environment based on Processing project, which includes support for C and C++ programming languages for programming microcontrollers (MCUs).
Arduino is an open source computer hardware and software company, project and user community that designs and manufactures MCU based kits for building digital devices and interactive objects that can sense and control objects in the real world. The project is based on MCU board designs, manufactured by several vendors, using various MCUs. These systems provide sets of digital and analogue I/O pins that can be interfaced to various expansion boards (shields) and other circuits. The boards feature serial communication interfaces, including USB on some models, for loading programs from personal computers.
openSCADA
openSCADA is the companion project to Eclipse SCADA. It is platform-independent and based on a modern system design that provides security and flexibility. It provides development libraries, interface applications, mass configuration tools, front-end and back-end applications.
pvbrowser
pvbrowser is an application framework that provides a specialized browser for the client computer and an integrated development environment for creating servers that implement visualization. It also provides data-acquisition programs (daemons) for many protocols that connect the real world with the server. It runs on Linux/Unix/Windows/OS-X. pvbrowser clients are also available for Maemo, MeeGo and Android.
