Job Overview
We are looking for an Embedded Hardware Design Engineer with focus on Microcontroller/Microprocessor based product development, debugging and testing (at board and system level). The engineer will focus on developing, testing, validating, troubleshooting Embedded Hardware products involving Microcontrollers, Wireless Communications and Power Supply- power electronics circuits.
A Day In The Life
- Complete Hardware Design & Development of Hubbell NPD Products.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation (at board and system level).
- Responsible for schematics capture, layout check, BOM creation and debugging and testing.
- Create fluent technical documentation including product specifications, layout instructions, test procedures, etc.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams like firmware, software, mechanical, electrical, and testing to achieve common goals
- Participate in product design reviews, and own hardware issues to provide solutions either in design or at production.
- Will be responsible for hardware design, bring up, certification and production release.
- Work closely with Client and cross-functional teams and ensure to meet the project deadlines.
What Will Help You Thrive In This Role?
- Must have 2 – 5 years of Embedded HW design experience on Digital, Analog and Mixed signal circuit design.
- Knowledge in Power supply design, battery management, ADCs, memories, buffers, drivers, amplifiers, Microcontroller design and different hardware protocols (UART, I2C, SPI etc.)
- Knowledge on Power Electronics components (Thyristors, MOSFET, IGBT, Solid State Switches, Op-to Isolator …etc.)
- Familiarity with communication protocols at the hardware level- BLE, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, GPS, LoRa etc.
- Proven track record of working with test lab equipment and simulation tools
- Hands-on Experience in Schematic design, PCB review, and Circuit simulation.
- Design optimization techniques for performance, cost, and manufacturability
- A good understanding of EMI/EMC and their impact on hardware is mandatory
- Develop design notes for designs and test cases for board bring-up
- Excellent time management skills, Self-motivated and highly ambitious
- Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
Must demonstrate consistent (and sustainable) application of problem-solving and analytical skills.
