Roles and Responsibilities:
Field Service Support
- Provide technical service, installation, operation, training, demonstration, and repair of GCMS, GC analyzers, GC equipment and HPLC to Thermo Fisher customers.
- Demonstrate excellent technical proficiency in the Gas Chromatography product line.
- Install products at client premises and demonstrate features related to 21 CFR compliance under the CDS software.
- Deliver training and technical advice on instrument use, ensuring optimum performance.
- Investigate difficulties, tackle faults, and provide solutions or arrange for repairs.
- Act as a communication link between customers and Sales and Marketing teams.
- Monitor repairs, suggest product improvements, and provide regular customer visits.
- Assist with spare parts requirement monitoring and equipment maintenance.
- Achieve assigned spares and service revenue targets by promoting contracts, PM kits, instrument upgrades, and software upgrades.
- Travel extensively within the territory and potentially outside territory if required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Technology (Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical) degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills suitable for a role that involves interacting with others.
- Ability to prioritize service requests and produce clear documentation.
- Self-motivated and proactive in technical and support approach.
- Collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs.
