As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions, with a strong focus on Power BI and analytics. You will also work closely with project management teams using tools like Planview, PPM Suite, or Stages to provide actionable insights that help optimize business processes and project performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Work closely with project management teams and tools (Planview, PPM suite, or stages) to integrate data and provide insights on project performance and resource allocation.
- Assist in data modeling, data transformation, and other analytical tasks to support business intelligence initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions based on data analysis.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by performing regular data validation and quality checks.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including report creation, dashboard development, and data visualization.
- Knowledge of PBI and DAX language preferred with ability to debug Power BI dashboards and modify existing Power BI dashboards. + Excel
- Strong background in data analytics, including transformation, and presentation.
- Experience with one or more of the following tools: Planview – Adaptive work, Microsoft – PPM Suite, UL Solutions – Stages or Siemens – Polarion.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
- Good understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle) – Strong SQL Server knowledge, SSIS, SSAS skills. + Good to have knowledge of SSAS cubes.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and incident management processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) for managing support requests.
