Must Requirements
- SMPS design expertise in topologies like buck, boost, flyback, SEPIC etc.
- 8/16/32 bit microcontroller based digital design and interface design.
- Should have preliminary/expert level of knowledge and hands on with Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Multi-meter, Power Analyzer, LCR Q Meter and Logic Analyzer.
- Design experience to meet EMC Compliance
- Good Hardware Electronics design skills and should be able to use simulation, schematic and PCBA layout tools. Protel or Cadence or any other
- Experience of working with PCB layout personnel to ensure IPC guidelines, meeting DFM & DFT design constraints
- Good in drafting System Test Plan and Test Procedure for electronics and controls. Should have experience in testing and validation of designs.
- Good communication skills.
Wish to have / Plus
- MOSFET & IGBT based control circuits, Working experience with Power Modules up to 50A, PWM Inverter design.AC Synchronous Motor control knowledge
- Hands On of EMC Testing
- Cross functional work experience with electronics manufacturing, assembling and testing teams is a plus. Should be willing to take additional responsibilities during the execution based on the business need.
- New Product Development process knowledge , Expertise in Cadence HDL and CIS.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Work on selected power electronics / control electronics hardware design projects as a member of HVAC R&D team, with some supervision. Practical testing on HVAC compressors
- Work primarily on analog / mixed signal design mainly focused compressor protection/control ( VFDs, AC-DC & DC-DC switch mode power supplies for motor control applications is a plus)
- Work with cross functional team; mainly software, manufacturing & procurement teams.
- Capture / document detailed hardware requirements for the products.
- Prepare detail design documents, Schematics, Simulation, Bill Of Material, Test Plan & Test Reports.
- Interact with external Printed Circuit Board manufacturers, electronics board assembly services organizations for project work as needed.
- Build test systems for developmental and compliance related with assistance from other team members.
- Interact with Overseas team as required.
- Adherence to CMMI / ISO quality process.
