The Field Service Engineer will be the technical reference for our partners and the final Customer, to solve the different incidences related to CAF PA’s equipment in the aftersales phase of the project.
The tasks include but are not limited to:
- Technically assist on field or by remote assistance in the diagnosis of the incidences to reduce the units stopping times. Find the root cause of the incidence on the supplied equipment and solve it, analizyng the failure mode and the integration with the train system if required.
- Shoul be able to give a first answer to our partner’s or customer’s technical team on field.
- Define tests to be able to diagnose the faults and be able to give feedback/make proposals to the engineering department in order to improve the product.
- Give on site training to our partner’s and final customer’s staff.
- Make improvements to the existing documentation in order to reduce or make easier the diagnosis of the faults.
- Arrange the necessary logistics to make on site repairs or modifications, if needed.
- Make technical reports if needed.
- Test and validate new SW improvements developed during the after sales project phase.
- Make the monitoring of the project during the whole after sales phase.
Requirements
- Technical Engineering.
- Has knowledge of power electronics, electricity and mechanics applied to the railway industry.
- Over 3 years of experience in the Indian railway sector, in WAP9, WAP7 & WAP5 locomotives.
- Electrical diagrams interpretation.
- Full availability to travel throughout India.
- Strong technical and customer service skills, as well as a proactive and collaborative attitude.
- Experience in technical training to large groups of people.
- Fluent English.
