We are seeking a highly motivated Field Application Engineer to join our Sales & BD team on a full-time basis with a team player coordinating the Organizational Sales & BD requirement with internal and external stakeholders and work towards strengthening relationship and bring long term sustainable solutions.
Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Installation supervision, commissioning, customer training; commissioning sign-off. Monitor progress of work against objectives. Organize System Staging, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) etc. – 60%
- Carry out Site Acceptance Testing and Commissioning Sign Off. Prepare site commissioning reports -5%
- Prepare written configuration, installation, test, commissioning and/or service records for customer orders and field service work. Prepare site commissioning reports for internal distribution -5%
- Identify problems and initiate corrective actions or recommend solutions. Test & troubleshoot customer systems -5%
- Annual field service and emergency field service – 5%
- Gather on-site product performance information, feeding back to the Engineering Groups- 5%
- Works to coordinate project activities on an interdepartmental basis-5%
- Configure and adapt KELK products (including documentation) to meet specified requirements -5%
- Provide development support for new products-5%
Skills
- Installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and post-sales support of industrial/ process equipment.
Essential Competencies
- Knowledgeable on electrical / electronic system, A/D communication, PLC, DCS, networking and computer are desired.
- Application knowledge on digital volt meters, oscilloscopes, PSpice simulation and other test/measuring equipment.
- Sound awareness and experience of industrial safety procedures.
Good to have Competencies
- Experience in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks will be an addon.
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
Technical Competencies
- Read and understand technical documentation such as electrical schematics, mechanical outlines, network interconnect diagrams, etc.
Requirements
Academic/Professional Education:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering from an accredited university with suitable hands-on experience required.
Relevant Experience:
3~5 years of experience with control, automation and electromechanical products and systems in an industrial, automotive, or aerospace environment, preferred, but other markets will be considered as well. Electrical, Electronics, Analog/digital communication and Mechanical (basic) aptitude, necessary.
Technical Skills/Knowledge
