Primary Job Functions
- Regular site visits to existing customers and new customers
- Develop the best technical and commercial solution for a given project.
- Identify new design and product upselling opportunities
- Align customer design requirements with MACOM products and technology
- Provide guidance and input for customer proposals
- Give technology demonstrations with MACOM evaluation boards and reference designs
- Manage and maintain MACOM’s engineering lab in Bangalore
- Assist customers with architecture, schematic and layout activities during design
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with your customer base.
- Provide onsite support to quickly isolate and resolve hardware problems during design & development
- Train customers, channel partners and distributor FAEs on the benefits and features of MACOM products
- Strongly advocate for MACOM products and technology
- Ability to travel internationally to receive technical trainingÂ
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering specializing in RF Microwave.
- 5 – 10 years of experience of systems design, hardware product validation and characterization for telecommunications or aerospace & defense applications. Experience as an FAE in the semiconductor industry would be an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with RF lab equipmentÂ
- Possess technical skills to complete microwave measurements for troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge in tuning high-power amplifiers and circuit optimization
- High-power RF experience required with either GaN HEMT, Si LDMOS or GaAs MESFET, GaAs pHEMT
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skillsÂ
- Excellent verbal and written communication (must be fluent in English)
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work independently
