Statiq is looking for a Hardware Engineer who will be responsible for developing and designing the controller boards for Electric Vehicle chargers. Job Objective is to work in coordination with Technical Leads, Project Managers and Product Managers on R&D projects assignments for Hardware Design and Development, Functional Testing, Pre compliance Testing and Production support with Focus on Electric Vehicle Charging Controller for AC and DC type chargers and to prepare design documentation to maintain desired quality levels set by organization.
Responsibilities
- Interact with product management & development teams to develop requirements for designing of hardware.
- Identify and convert the product specifications into hardware requirements by interacting with Product Development team and marketing team.
- Prepare High level and detailed design document, schematic, PCB Layout, Bill of Material, Test plan, Test Report for hardware.
- Selection of active and passive electronic components.
- To optimize design Process and make sure Product development meets the required timeline.
Individual will be responsible for:
- Preparation of detailed design document
- Preparation of schematic
- Creating PCB Layout in Altium, AutoDesk Eagle or other industrial PCB design tools.
- Complete functional hardware validation
- Set-up and coordinate Environmental Testing (Thermal, shock, Dry-heat, Vibration, Humidity
- EMC (Surge, EFT, ESD, CS, CE, RE, RS) validation.
- Creating and maintaining hardware development schedule.
Requirements
- B.E/ M.E. in –Electronics/Power Electronics/Electrical/Mechatronics
- Relevant work/project experience of around 1-2 years in embedded hardware development and power electronics.
- Must have excellent Electronics Hardware Design skills which includes
- Active and Passive Component selection
- Mixed signal Design
- Analog signal Conditioning
- Micro controller based design
- Analog interfaces
- IO design
- Power Supply Design (Buck, Boost, buck-boost, Isolated Topologies (LLC)
- Individually should be able to complete schematic, simulation and circuit analysis
- Good knowledge of PCB layout rules and techniques. ï‚Ÿ Good knowledge of EMI EMC and mitigation techniques.
- Must have hands on experience of using testing tools like MSO, DSO, Function generator, DAQ ï‚Ÿ Experience in preparing hardware development schedule, creation of BOM, making design document, different hardware test plans.
- Experience in schematic and layout drafting tools like Autodesk Eagle, Altium.
- Good knowledge of
- Micro-controller protocols like SPI, I2C, UART, RS232, RS485, CAN.
- BLE Communication ï‚Ÿ GSM, Ethernet and WiFi communication.
- Experience of designing of EV Charger Controllers will be added advantage.
