Responsibilities
- Design and Development:
- Develop and design electronic fuze systems for ammunition, ensuring reliability and safety.
- Create schematics, layouts, and prototypes for electronic fuzes.
- Conduct simulations and modeling to validate designs.
- Testing and Validation:
- Perform rigorous testing of fuze systems to ensure they meet military and safety standards.
- Analyze test data and iterate on designs to improve performance.
- Project Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.
- Documentation:
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Stay updated on the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements related to ammunition and fuze systems.
- Ensure all designs adhere to applicable standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in electronic circuit design, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of digital and analog electronics, including microcontrollers and sensor interfaces.
- Proficiency in using design and simulation software (e.g., Altium, SPICE, MATLAB).
- Understanding of safety standards and regulations related to ammunition and explosives.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with military-grade electronics and ruggedized design.
- Knowledge of explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with environmental testing procedures for ammunition components.
- Project management experience.
