Responsibilities

  • Design and Development:
  • Develop and design electronic fuze systems for ammunition, ensuring reliability and safety.
  • Create schematics, layouts, and prototypes for electronic fuzes.
  • Conduct simulations and modeling to validate designs.
  • Testing and Validation:
  • Perform rigorous testing of fuze systems to ensure they meet military and safety standards.
  • Analyze test data and iterate on designs to improve performance.
  • Project Management:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.
  • Documentation:
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance and Standards:
  • Stay updated on the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements related to ammunition and fuze systems.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to applicable standards and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in electronic circuit design, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of digital and analog electronics, including microcontrollers and sensor interfaces.
  • Proficiency in using design and simulation software (e.g., Altium, SPICE, MATLAB).
  • Understanding of safety standards and regulations related to ammunition and explosives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with military-grade electronics and ruggedized design.
  • Knowledge of explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) and safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with environmental testing procedures for ammunition components.
  • Project management experience.
