As a Power Electronics/Power system Engineer (f/m/d) at Siemens Energy, you analyze the Power Electronics of Battery storage Converters for the development of the best-fit-solutions in Energy Storage for our global customers. With our Siemens Energy-wide collaboration, we combine various sustainable solutions to increase our customer value and make a significant contribution to the energy transition.
Therefore, you are the technical expert within our R&D team analyzing technical market requirements, defining new steps and developments, taking responsibility for the R&D project execution and the creation of necessary documentation.

Your New Role – Challenging And Future-Oriented:
- Specifying components and defining technical requirements in cooperation with suppliers
- Modeling, simulation and study of power electronics converters used in BESS
- Supporting the Application Engineering team and contributing to the standardization and improvement of our product families
- Preparing and/or review technical documentation, drawings, specifications of electrical components, systems as well as creating and maintaining detailed documentation of design, standards, and test procedures
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including civil, mechanical, software, product management, field installation, commissioning, electrical engineers, and services groups to integrate power electronic systems into solution and perform quality checks for all deliverable
We Don’t Need Superheroes, Just Super Minds
- Completed university degree in electrical engineering, ideally with a focus on power electronics/power system/controls. Applications from young professionals are also welcome
- Long-term professional experience in the field of power electronics/power system projects, preferably in the areas of battery energy storage projects
- Capable of using common power system/power electronics tools such as MATLAB, PSCAD, DigSilent, PSSE, as well as SiL/HiL platforms
- Expert knowledge in electronic modules, including selection, qualification and lifetime consideration of components, preferably related to power electronics
- Readiness to commission new developments and to solve technical issues independently.
- Fluent English skills, German is not mandatory but would be a plus
- Willingness to work in an agile development environment, a structured way of working, initiative, creativity, motivation, and quality orientation round off your profile.
