The primary responsibility of the hire will be to handle PDK and Analog & Mixed signal simulation support.
Job Description
- Development, maintenance, and improvement of foundry process design kits (PDK) for advanced nodes and related EDA tools
- Provide support to the IC Design team for PDK related questions or SKILL/script programming for customized requests
- Development, maintenance, and improvement of PDK QA flow
- Development, maintenance, and enhance Analog and Mixed Signal simulation methodology and EDA tools
- Development of test benches for spice simulations and EDA tool QA
- Work with EDA vendors to solve design flow and tool issues
- Work with foundry technology group and/or IC design team to resolve a technical issue
- Will train and develop the candidate to work with above
Qualifications and Experience
- B.Tech/BE in Electrical/Electronics Engg with 3+ years of experience OR M.Tech with 2+ years of experience
- Strong in one of SKILL programming or PDK development
- Experience with Virtuoso, Custom Compiler, and/or SPICE simulators (e.g. APS/Spectre, HSPICE) is a plus
- Fundamental understanding of custom design and/or AMS flows and methodologies
- Experience with any of the following scripting languages – Perl, Python, or Tcl
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux is required
- Experience with any version control tools such as ICManage, Clearcase
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills
