Create, Verify & Maintain all schematics parts of PCB footprint & Database Entries requested by Electrical Engineering team across all the Divisions and follow Methode’s existing processes, collaborating with engineers and teams in the design and development of medium to high complex, detailed layouts of rigid and flexible printed circuit boards using CAE and CAD applications and tools.
Qualification: Diploma /BSc/BE in Electronics
Total experience: 4 to 10 years
Primary Skills
- Should be able to create PCB footprints per IPC standards and schematic symbols independently
- Proficient with Footprint creation using Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro.
- Responsible for Schematic entry, designing PCB Layout to Gerber generation and release for automotive applications
- Knowledge on IPC Standards for PCB design and for component engineering
- Proficiency in using ECAD tools
- Passionately participates in the reviews.
- Drive Continues improvement in projects to enhance process, quality, productivity & cycle time improvement
- Propose PCB design trade-offs to the engineering design team for resolution and implementation
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.
- Able to work well in Global, fast paced environment (dealing with teams in India and US)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, self-motivated team player, flexible and ready to adapt to varying workloads and task requirements.
Job description
- Design and development of high-power PCBs, considering thermal management, signal integrity, and power integrity requirements.
- Proven experience in high-speed PCB design/Layout design, with an emphasis on HDI layouts.
- Layout design experience with communication interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, I2C, DDRs, etc.
- Strong knowledge of EMI/EMC principles and standards, and the ability to implement EMI/EMC mitigation strategies, including filtering, shielding, and grounding techniques.
- Familiarity with layout guidelines for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and design for testing (DFT).
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define PCB design requirements and specifications
