The High Frequency Measurements Center of Excellence (HFM COE) develops and produces the world’s highest performance signal generators, signal analyzers, network analyzers, power meters and modular systems to create and analyze wireless signals.

The HFM COE has an opening as an R&D Engineer in Gurugram, India as part of our Worldwide Software Engineering Processes (SEP) Team.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for the testing activities required to qualify X-Series Signal Analyzers and PathWave Signal Generation products. This position requires proven ability to learn in the field of engineering, particularly with regard to RF/uW engineering and signal modulation/demodulation, telecommunication systems, signal processing and software development.

The engineer will be responsible for designing/implementing software that controls measurement instruments, processes data, presents the measurement results, and automates the full product qualification.

The candidate will be required to develop test code under Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation, or Git using C#/.NET and to drive improvements across all SW teams to shorten time-to-market.

Responsibilities may include

  • Develop test requirements, strategies and plans for HFM software products and related hardware systems to assure the quality of overall instrument capabilities.
  • Design and develop test systems, functional test cases and unit/integration tests.
  • Be responsible for test result analysis, defect submission, tracking, resolution and reporting.
  • Participate in the development of new infrastructure tools and improvements, such as test executives, automated build and continuous integration test systems, data analysis and supporting web application development.
  • Work closely with our worldwide QA liaisons and teams to ensure alignment and consistency in our qualification techniques and best practices.
  • Work with the product managers, development teams, planners and customer support to meet quality goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of RF and microwave signal generation and measurement analysis applications and wireless technologies.
  • Experience working with measurement instruments like Signal Analyzer, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes etc.
  • Conceptual understanding of analog, digital communications like modulation schemes, ACPR, EVM, FFT etc.
  • Experience in programming languages like C++, C#, Python etc.
     

Desired Skills

  • Strong analytical ability, able to present data, solve problems, and come up with creative solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, .NET, C++, C#, OO, XML, HTML, SQL databases
  • Experience in SW test, SW test paradigms, software development best-practices, quality metrics, continuous integration and unit testing.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, with a collaborative working style.
