As a Robotics Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the core development and testing teams. You will be involved in installations, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of robotics products and subsystems, while also contributing to the efficient operation of daily tasks such as procurement, inventory management, and logistical support. Candidates should have strong technical skills and attention to detail. Prior experience in a tech-based environment is preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Installation: Set up, configure, and calibrate all subsystems within the robotics product for optimal performance.
- Data Collection and Testing: Conduct unit and full system testing of products and subsystems to gather performance data.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues encountered during testing and operation.
- Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure continued performance and reliability of products and subsystems.
- Procurement & Vendor Coordination: Assist with placing orders for equipment and supplies, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Inventory Management & Control: Track and manage daily inventory of equipment, parts, and office supplies. Accordingly, reorder items as needed and ensure all components are available for development and testing.
- Logistical Support: Assist with office setups, team requirements, and event logistics to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Creative Problem Solving: Suggest innovative solutions to improve efficiency and resolve both technical and operational challenges.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of service visits, issues encountered, and solutions implemented.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or degree in electronics, mechanical, computer science, engineering, operations management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a tech-oriented or R&D environment. Experience in procurement, vendor management, and inventory control is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with AI-based systems, electronics, and software, Basic electronic technician skills (e.g., soldering, assembling, operating multi-meter).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical and operational challenges.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
- Physical & Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to various offshore locations in India and ability to work in different outdoor environments for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with operating and debugging robotics systems.
- Familiarity with data collection, annotation, and analysis.
- Prior experience in a startup or tech-based manufacturing or R&D environment.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, office management tools, and vendor coordination.
