Reference design of a low-powered PowerPoint presenter which enables users to control slides by exchanging data with a PC through Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication.
This reference design from Renesas is a PowerPoint Presenter solution that enables remote control of a computer or multimedia projector via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) wireless technology. It allows the user to easily change the page by pressing a page-down key or page-up key on the PPT presenter easily when demonstrating a PPT file. The reference design is based on RL78/G1D Module and works on a 3V CR2032 lithium battery and has a low power consumption of 2.6 mA in RF low power consumption mode. It has a working range of up to 30m and is compatible with both Windows and android platforms.
The BLE transceiver circuit in this application uses RL78/G1D BLE module, the system also has a green SMD LED as the system status indicator light. It can reach the maximum brightness when the current is 20 mA. Because the high-level output current of a single pin of the MCU is only 10 mA, and the low-level output current is usually 20 mA, the system uses low-level to light LED so as to adjust the LED brightness easily.
The schematic of the presenter board is shown below:
This reference design has been tested by renesas. It comes with comprehensive software, firmware libraries, tools, battery, etc. You can find additional data about the reference design on the company’s website. To read more about this reference design click here.
