Established in the last quarter of 2023 by Imthias Mohamed, Nezo Energy India LLP (NEZO)—operating under the brand name sparXcharge—is a mobile EV charging service provider currently focused on operations in Trivandrum, Kerala.
Imthias Mohamed, Founder & CEO of sparXcharge, describes the startup’s innovative approach: mobile, battery-powered EV chargers that bring charging directly to customers, removing the need to visit fixed stations. With sparXcharge, vehicles equipped with robust chargers travel to the customer’s location, providing a convenient solution. Through a ‘chat-based charging’ platform on WhatsApp, users can effortlessly book, charge, and pay, making EV charging more accessible and straightforward for various user groups.

With a fully operational prototype, sparXcharge has achieved certification and safety validation. The prototype is designed with high-capacity mobile chargers capable of handling various power needs, ranging from 30kW to 120kW, allowing each van to charge multiple EVs simultaneously. The prototype has been deployed in Trivandrum, demonstrating its potential in real-world scenarios. A full-scale soft launch with ten mobile charging stations is scheduled for Q2 2025, shares Imthias Mohamed.
