ASH has introduced VANTAGE, a 4K digital microscope system designed to improve industry precision and efficiency. With advanced software, VANTAGE supports clarity, functionality, and ease of use for visual quality control. The company claims that it helps ASH customers simplify inspection processes, reduce product waste, increase throughput, lower operational costs, and protect their brand reputation.
The 4K digital microscope has a 4K camera that provides high-resolution imaging, capturing fine details with precision. This technology allows users to observe samples in real-time with four times the resolution of standard HD, supporting accurate inspections.
The 4K digital microscope can be used by manufacturing and production teams to inspect components and maintain standards, electronics professionals for circuit board and component analysis, and medical device manufacturers to meet compliance requirements. Automotive and aerospace engineers can use it to inspect mechanical parts, while R&D teams can use it to analyse prototypes and conduct failure analysis.
The measurement software includes all the features of the ASH Omni 3, now upgraded with 4K resolution. Optional applications include the 2D Measurement & Graticules App, which provides tools like point-to-point, spline, and area measurements to ensure product dimensions meet specifications. The snap-to-edge feature ensures consistent measurements by removing operator subjectivity, while factory calibration eliminates the need for recalibration during magnification changes. Spot height measurement supports z-axis measurements. The Image Stacking App allows samples with varying heights to be viewed in focus simultaneously, reducing the need for focus adjustments.
Other applications include the Overlay Comparator App, which identifies defects by flashing a live sample image against a stored master image, helping detect issues early in production. The Side-by-Side Comparator App displays a live sample and stored master image on a split screen, allowing quick identification of differences to avoid fixes. The DXF Import/Export App lets manufacturers use DXF files to create and edit overlay templates for go/no-go testing and supports reverse engineering by eliminating manual measuring and redrawing.
