With features like Class II insulation, OVCIII rating up to 3000m, and EMI compliance, they deliver peak performance and durability—even in extreme conditions.
The newly released RAC04NE-K series by RECOM delivers reliable, continuous 4W output across a wide input range of 100VAC to 277VAC without derating. Designed to perform in demanding environments, it’s robust design and cost-efficient performance make it ideal for building automation, lighting, telecommunications, industrial equipment, e-mobility applications, and more.
Key features include Class II insulation, an OVCIII rating up to 3000m altitude, enhanced line transient immunity, and compliance with EMI standard EN55032 Class B for both floating and ground-connected outputs. Modules are available in two formats. The standard through-hole PCB mount measures 37 x 24 x 18mm, while a wired version with IP65-rated encapsulation and mounting lugs measures 37.8 x 24.8 x 18.7mm. This flexibility ensures compatibility with various design requirements.
The features include:
- Operating temperature range: -40°C to +80°C.
- Provide 6W peak power for short durations.
- Fully regulated output voltages: 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, and 24V.
- Designed to cater to diverse application requirements.
Safety and EMC certifications cover a wide range of end-use scenarios, and the converters include comprehensive protection features such as overload, short-circuit, and output over-voltage safeguards. Built for high durability, the RAC04NE-K series boasts an MTBF exceeding 2 million hours at 40°C (MIL-HDBK-217, GB conditions). The design lifetime is over 12 years at 230VAC, full load, and 50°C ambient temperature, ensuring longevity even in challenging conditions. Each unit is backed by a three-year warranty. The series is now available through the company’s authorized distributors or directly from the manufacturer. Samples and OEM pricing are offered to support evaluation and production needs.
“These versatile AC/DC converters are easy to integrate into global applications where reliability, performance, and cost are paramount,” said Michael Schrutka, MSc, AC/DC Product Manager at RECOM.
