9.5mm Four-Gang Rotary Potentiometers

Same sky has launched compact rotary potentiometers with enhanced features, offering up to four-gang options and versatile taper configurations.

Two new rotary potentiometer series, PTN09X and PTN09SX, have been introduced by Same Sky’s Motion and Control Group to cater to advanced control applications. Designed in a compact 9.5mm housing, these potentiometers allow ganging up to four sections, making them suitable for electronic circuits and audio control systems.

Both potentiometer series come with a wide resistance range of 1kΩ to 1000kΩ and are equipped with linear, logarithmic, and reverse logarithmic tapers. They also feature a durable rotational life of 100,00 cycles and offer straight PC pin terminations for reliable connectivity. With shaft lengths of 15mm, 20mm, or 25mm and D-cut, knurled, or slotted shaft options, the models are designed to meet the needs of engineers and product developers in audio, industrial automation, and home appliance sectors.

“Both models are engineered for precision control,” the team noted, emphasising their performance in conditions ranging from -10°C to 75°C. The mechanical angle of 300 degrees further enhances their adaptability in compact designs.

The PTN09SX series includes an additional on-off switch and a 41-detent option, offering flexibility for complex operations. Meanwhile, the PTN09X series provides a center detent feature, making it ideal for applications requiring mid-position functionality. Both models operate at a power rating of 0.05W, ensuring efficiency and reliability in demanding environments.

The series meets varied operational needs, the potentiometers primarily target industries focused on precision control systems.
