Affordable, High-Performance Graphics Cards

Intel has announced the release of the Intel Arc B-Series graphics cards (code-named Battlemage), featuring the Intel Arc B580 and B570 GPUs. Designed for gamers seeking exceptional value, these GPUs deliver modern gaming features, AI acceleration, and outstanding price-to-performance ratios. Powered by Intel Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX) AI engines, the new XeSS 2 technology enhances performance, visual smoothness, and responsiveness.

The B-Series GPUs are built on the company’s latest Xe2 architecture, offering improved efficiency and higher performance per core. This second-generation architecture integrates high-performance XMX AI engines, enhanced ray tracing units, and optimized mesh shading for cutting-edge graphics capabilities. The new architecture delivers 70% better performance per Xe-core and 50% more performance per watt compared to the previous generation.

It introduces three key features:

  • XeSS Super Resolution for AI-based upscaling, now supporting over 150 games.
  • XeSS Frame Generation for smoother gameplay through interpolated frames using optical flow and motion vector reprojection.
  • Xe Low Latency, reducing input lag by integrating with game engines.

With these enhancements, XeSS 2 boosts frames-per-second output by up to 3.9x in demanding AAA games, delivering an immersive gaming experience. It outperforms the previous-generation Intel Arc A750 by an average of 24% at 1440p, with some games achieving up to 78% faster performance. The B580 offers up to 32% better performance-per-dollar compared to competing GPUs.

Both GPUs feature generous memory—12GB for the B580 and 10GB for the B570—to ensure smooth 1440p ultra-quality gameplay. The new graphics software adds features such as frame-rate limiting, advanced overclocking, and low-latency modes.

The GPUs incorporate Intel’s Xe Media engine, offering accelerated video creation and playback with broad codec support, including AV1 and H.265. They also enable local generative AI workloads through Intel’s AI Playground application. For more information, click here.
