The surge in demand for millimeter-wave radar sensing, especially in the 60 GHz band, has driven innovations in medical applications and facial-recognition security. Additionally, automotive radar technology is advancing with the adoption of wideband 79 GHz radar, capable of high-resolution detection of small objects like pedestrians and bicycles.

To support these advancements, there is a growing need for efficient tools to evaluate transmission signal characteristics in ultra-wideband millimeter-wave sensors and automotive radars. The signal analyzers deliver high-performance signal measurements, covering RF to millimeter-wave frequencies and supporting both narrow- and wide-band signals.

 Key features include:

  • Extended Spectrum Measurement: The MX284090A External Mixer Connection Function allows the connection of VDI or Eravant external mixers for spectrum, signal, and phase noise measurements.
  • Image-Response-Free Measurements: With industry-leading intermediate frequencies of 1.875 GHz (MS2830A) and 1.8755 GHz (MS2840A/MS2850A), image-response effects are minimized up to 7.5 GHz using Anritsu’s Preselector Simulation (PS) technology.
  • Easy Setup: A single coaxial cable connects the signal analyzer to the external mixer, offering flexibility and reducing setup complexity.

Each model in the series is tailored to meet specific needs, reflecting a commitment to versatility and high performance. The MS2830A is a cost-effective solution designed for R&D, manufacturing, and maintenance applications. For those requiring exceptional phase noise performance, the MS2840A stands out with advanced features such as noise floor suppression. Meanwhile, the MS2850A supports signal analysis at bandwidths of up to 1 GHz, catering to the demands of cutting-edge technologies. These enhancements underline Anritsu’s dedication to delivering innovative solutions for emerging technological advancements.
